SEMA! SEMA! SEMA! FFI was featured at SEMA and it was great! For the first time in Ethanol Conversion History a kit was featured at SEMA and to say we took the show by storm would be an understatement as we were featured in the Green Zone.

Alex Conger and Derrick Cavanaugh joined Curtis Lacy in Las Vegas to bring awareness to the FFI cause in showing how to go green without spending all your green.

Alex Conger was a guest on SBTV and Curtis Lacy was featured not only on Car and Driver radio but Attack of The Show on G4 TV  http://www.g4tv.com/attackoftheshow/exclusives/65604/SEMA-Car-Show-in-Las-Vegas.html

Later in the evening Curtis got to hang with the Champ Bernard Hopkins and even danced in a pop locking contest with the guys from DUB Magazine.

The show was a great success as we established relationships with several high profile car custom companies and you can tell by the pictures who we are speaking of. As you know the vehicle we were featured on won an award which was a great accomplishment in itself. We would like to say thanks to SEMA for giving us the platform and treated us like we had been there before and look forward to next year.

September 27th through Oct 3rd Fuel Flex International, LLC's President, Curtis Lacy, attended the NCFSA (National Conference State Fleet Administrators) conference in Long Beach California .

National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) was established in 1987 to encourage communication between state officials involved in fleet administration. Each year the conference is hosted by state and university fleet administrators and held in some of the most unusual locations throughout the country.

The main focus of this fleet conference was about changing your fleet to Green Fuel. The conference Director was Larry Charlton set a great agenda ranging from changing companies fleet vehicle habits to making sure your vehicles tires are inflated to their proper size and of course ethanol conversion.

Unfortunately I sprained m ankle the 1st day there but during the entire conference everyone helped me out any way they could which was great. I got to meet Phill Lampert from the NEVC and he was very informative about ethanol and the future of ethanol for U.S consumption. And by the way FFI was invited to become a Member of the NEVC which is great Honor. The NEVC provides very important information about the development of more E85 stations in the U.S, As of today there are currently 1800 E85 pumps in the U.S.

If you would like to read any of the reports or see some of the conference footage and you have a Fleet click on the following link http://www.ncsfa.net/CONFERENCE/2008ConferenceSessions.html and you can see how to save money on your fleet whether you have 2 cars or 10 the information will save you and your company lots of capital by just following certain procedures.

September 20th & 21st Fuel Flex International, LLC's President, Curtis Lacy, attends the "Teaching America with Alternative fuels" symposium in Miami, Florida.

Miami Miami!!

Yes my FFI friends I am in Miami for Teaching America with Alternative fuels...the TRUTH symposium an important meeting of home ethanol producers.

These are the communities who are so intent to have ethanol that they are going to make their own.

Here at FFI we love to support everyone that endeavors to kick the oil habit not just fleets and car companies but even the little guy who wants to minimize his or her carbon foot print. My trip kicked off by meeting our fabulous Miami Florida Dist David Castillo proud owner of Davtruck Parts Corp and his beautiful wife Ana.

David has truly inspired the Latino ethanol industry in Miami. David and his associates have great pleasure in educating their communities about ethanol and the benefits of going green.

FFI was on hand to answer any questions and to show what savings they can make by just converting their current vehicle while making their own fuel right at home.

FFI looks forward to the progress that Miami-Dade County has made in such a short time and we look forward to returning soon. Watch for us at the Efest Green celebration in Sarasota on November 15th and 16th.

September 5th - 6th Fuel Flex International, LLC's President, Curtis Lacy, attends the Phoenix AZ 2008 Green Summit.

FFI was on hand in Phoenix AZ for the 2008 Green Summit. It was held at the Phoenix Convention Center and we were guest of Green Element Design Group which is lead by Terri Larson and her counter parts Scott and Andrew.

The event was very nice and informative as the mission of the convention was to bring awareness to going green and doing it for low cost.

Green Element Design group specializes in green proofing your home which will help you save money on electric bills and use less power than your house needs.
The tradeshow was very exciting as there where products that ranged from energy saving toilets to spoons and plates made from potato’s and plates made of corn.

There were even clothes made of recycled plastic bottles, I was even featured on the local news to bring awareness on the cost effectiveness on converting your vehicle.

May 5th, 2008 - -Fuel Flex International, LLC's CEO Alex Conger visits the new Pacific Ethanol Plant in Burley Idaho

Upon arrival at Idaho's newest and largest ethanol production facility I was greeted by the plants operations crew shown in the photos and had a great time discussing the plants operation and the fact that we were all excited about what this Pacific Ethanol has brought to Idaho.

They could not get enough photos with Ethyl our ethanol powered hummer. After a great visit and an in prompt discussion of the Fuel Flex Platinum conversion system we agreed to return soon and possibly get a comprehensive tour of the facility. Thanks for the great hospitality and, "We will be back"  Alex

Grand Opening of Pacific Ethanol's Magic Valley Production Facility When: Friday, May 16, 2008 10:00 AM Where: 2600 Washington Avenue Burley, Idaho Neil Koehler, CEO and President of Pacific Ethanol, observed, "This site expands our production footprint to new markets in the Western United States. We've succeeded in the plant's start up and are now able to produce enough ethanol to meet the renewable fuel needs of the entire state of Idaho, assuming a ten percent ethanol blend. We look forward to the opening ceremony with Governor Otter, who also joined us last year in Burley for the plant's groundbreaking."

The 60 million gallon per year Burley facility is located on 177 acres, with access to the Union Pacific Railroad, Eastern Idaho Railroad, and Interstate 84. Burley is in the Magic Valley region of Idaho, where a resident population of over 300,000 dairy cattle and 100,000 feedlot cattle provide a ready local market for a key co-product of ethanol, wet distiller's grain (WDG), a high protein feed source. The plant will process 21 million bushels of corn per year, producing both ethanol and 500,000 tons of WDG annually. According to the Idaho Department of Commerce, this project has created $7.2 million in additional household income in Cassia County.

March 10th & 11th 2008, Fuel Flex International, LLC  on the road again traveling to Lane College in Eugene Oregon..

Alex Conger and Gary Ackaret of FFI traveled to Lane College in Eugene Oregon to give 60, 1st and 2 year automotive technicians and their instructors training in ethanol and conversions.

We were meet and greeted by Egan, our host, one of the lead institutors at the facility. The 4 hours training session was met with many questions and arguments whether or not ethanol was the answer to the current problems with fuel pricing and shortages. Gary is very well read in these areas and was able to explain it on a level that all were satisfied with.

The session was rounded off by the students and instructor explaining how they turned a late model Honda into a flex fuel vehicle with one of the FFI platinum series systems.

They all agreed that it is a easy and simple and the end results look great on the test equipment that have at the college. Our thanks to Lane College for the great hospitality and such a great facility.

Reply from the school:

Thank you to Alex and Gary from Fuel Flex.

I appreciate you taking the time to come down Eugene and speak to my students. What I liked best from a teaching stand point is that every student seemed to have a opinion after you left.

I know that they all benefited from your presentation weather they were sold on ethanol or not. The truly important thing to me is that your seminar got them thinking. Certainly the ones that enjoyed it the most were the second year students who have a much better grasp of fuel trim, injector pulse, emission controls and air to fuel ratios.

There was a lot of talk about your kits, the Pulstar plugs and Ethyl well after you left.

Thanks again I hope we can do it again.

February 24-27th 2008, Fuel Flex International, LLC  on the road again traveling to the 13th Annual RFA conference in Florida country.

Recently Curtis Lacy, President of sales and marketing for FFI traveled to the RFA conference at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. The RFA is implementing a comprehensive program to green at the National Ethanol Conference by focusing on the four R’s of Sustainability:

Here is Curtis in the ultimate driving game!

Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Our goal is to substantially reduce waste, replace non-earth-friendly items with environmentally sound ones, and strive for carbon-neutral status.

The RFA has ensured that the production of the conference (electricity and natural gas usage) and attendee travel have not increased the burden of greenhouse gases in the earth’s atmosphere by purchasing carbon credits. These credits offset carbon emissions by investing in alternative, renewable energy projects.

This conference was attended by most of the international companies involved in ethanol, BIO and all other aspects of renewable energy but only FFI was there to represent the national flex fuel conversion industry!

Curtis: Hello my friends, I’m back from the 13th Annual National Ethanol Conference in Orlando Florida and I have learned a lot. First of all Texas will soon have another 50 pumps built in the Dallas and Houston area which is Great News!!  The show was sponsored by RFA and was a beautiful event in its entirety it was at the JW Marriot. Well let’s get the good stuff…

On the Cellulose Ethanol front they are very close to making ethanol from the garbage and waste from our landfills according to the RFA, wouldn’t that be great all of our trash turned into fuel.  I found that the Reps for the plants that attended were very interested in FFI as our technology will help bring more ethanol to the public. Here are some of the pictures from the conference as we have made some very powerful allies in the market of ethanol. Here at FFI we don’t care how you Go Green, Kick the Oil Habit just as long as you do.

Here is some fuel for thought, the production and use of 6.5 billion gallons of ethanol in the U.S reduced CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions by approximately 10.1 million tons in 2007, the equivalent of removing more than 1.5 million cars from Americas roadways.  Using ethanol in place of gasoline helps to reduce CO2 and other greenhouse gas by up to 29% given today’s technology Because ethanol is made from renewable, plant-based feedstock, the CO2 released during a vehicle’s fuel combustion is “recycled” by the plant it grows (photosynthesis). New  technology, additional feed stocks, and higher blends of ethanol including e85 all promise greater reductions in GHG emissions.

I loved playing in the Epic Ethanol Race car even as big as I am I can still fit so who say’s I don’t like the wind in my hair.

December 3rd, Fuel Flex International, LLC  on the road again traveling toClick the snow country. Alex Conger and his Son Reed Conger, took Ethyl to the mountains for a day of testing in the snow and 15 degree weather.

This is the First Digital Converter with cold start, the latest in the FFI product line. We are just in the testing phase!

If you are experiencing extended start cycles there are several things you can do and there is not one perfect answer as not all vehicles handle ethanol fuel the same way.

News Update 2008: Tests are completed. FFI Platinum with true "Cold Start Assist
TM" is now available. Order today!

November 15th, 16th and 17th Fuel Flex International, LLC  on the road again traveling the northwest. Alex Conger & Gary Ackaret were privileged to meet with and do training for many outstanding automotive technicians. Below is the FFI class of 2007.

Our class and automotive instructor we amazed at the ease of installation of FFI's line of digital flex fuel conversion systems and as a close to the 2 days they installed a FFI Platinum in a brand new Toyota Prius and made it a truly ECO friendly Tri Fuel Vehicle.

FFI's training and sales team will be on the road soon in your area. Call us today. 866-568-3617 for details.

November 9th, 10th and 11th Fuel Flex International, LLC  joined our premium distributors, David and Michelle Virtue of Denver Colorado for a 3 day show at the Denver convention center.

Colorado has been very proactive for bio fuels and the amount of excitement that was shown at this show was a good example.

In the 3 days we were there around 30,000 people had an opportunity to find out about the possibility of converting their gasoline vehicles to run on clean burning ethanol.

In Colorado there ate currently 36 stations that dispense E85 and there is in most cases about $1:00 difference in price meaning it is $1:00 less than gas. With gas prices climbing on a daily basis all would agree even with the possible mileage loss that there was no debating that using ethanol made sense. Everyone was thrilled to see they had an alternative to buying a new flex fuel vehicle and supporting the American economy.

Teamed up with Ron Kirtley driver/owner of Idaho Heat at the NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic XIIV at Firebird Race Way.

The fourteenth edition of the NAPA Classic came to a dramatic conclusion at just after 7 pm on the fifth and final day of Firebird's biggest sportsman race. The event attracted a record 639 racers, the majority of which battled it out on Sunday during the twelve hour showdown better known as the
Marathon.

Congratulations goes out to James Kaminski in winning the nine round showdown with his Sportsman eliminator winning Mustang. Kaminski becomes only the third Sportsman competitor to score the Classic Grand Championship (the only other racers to pull it off—David Chun Jr. won Classic I and Dave Wilson at Classic VI in Sportsman). As the story goes, Kaminski arrived at Firebird one week earlier than the scheduled event. He was so excited and pumped up about the event, he thought the race started on October 10th (for parking and tech). After visiting with John New on the entrance road, he learned that the event wasn’t kicking off until the following week. Amazingly enough, the first to arrive was also one of the last to leave, winning one of the ultimate titles of the season at Firebird.

Staged over the eighth mile distance, racing was fast and furious for two cool days of action. The high topped out at 49 degrees on Saturday, while Sunday just barely go into the low 50’s.
